Dr. John Ardill faithfully serves the eye care needs of East Texas. 

After receiving a bachelor’s degree in biology from Houghton College, Dr. Ardill later graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry as an O.D. of Optometry with both therapeutic and glaucoma certifications.  

Dr. Ardill is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, East Texas Optometric Society, and Fellowship of Christian Optometrists.

Beginning his career as an optometrist at Permanente Medical Association of Texas, Dr. Ardill then went on to become a lead optometrist before joining Ophthalmology Associates of East Texas. He also served at DeHaven Eye Clinic and The Eye Center before joining Gold Eye Clinic as an optometrist. 

Dr. Ardill is a therapeutic optometrist; he provides comprehensive medical and routine eye exams for ages 2+, fits contact lenses, and provides no cost eye exams for the underserved community through Bethesda Health Clinic in Tyler, TX.

In his spare time, Dr. Ardill and his wife Cindy enjoy spending time with their two children and three grandchildren. He also enjoys cycling, swimming and singing in the choir.
