East Texas ophthalmologist, Dr. Maxwell Su, welcomes patients of all ages for clinical and surgical evaluations. In addition to managing age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, Dr. Su offers an extensive slate of specialized surgeries and procedures, including:

- Cataract Surgery

- LASIK

- Basic Eyelid Surgery

- Corneal Cross-Linking

- Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery

Dr. Maxwell Golden Su graduated with a business degree from Texas A&M University and earned his medical degree at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. While in medical school, Dr. Su served as the class president and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society for his contributions to academic and clinical medicine. 

Dr. Su completed his internal medicine internship and ophthalmology residency at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas, serving as chief ophthalmology resident. During his residency, Dr. Su has participated in ophthalmologic research projects and authored multiple scholarly articles. 

He is a member of the Texas Medical Association, Christian Ophthalmology Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, American College of Surgeons, and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.  

Dr. Su has been passionate about glorifying God by helping people since his first exposure to local and international missions in high school. Since then, he has helped to provide humanitarian, medical, and ophthalmic relief worldwide. Dr. Su is determined to practice ophthalmology in a mission-minded manner and is thankful for the opportunity to serve the people of East Texas.
