Dr. Jared Raabe grew up in Whitehouse, Texas and is grateful to return home to East Texas to serve the community that raised him.
After graduating valedictorian from Whitehouse High School, he went on to Biomedical engineering and Spanish Language at Texas A&M University, where he spent multiple semesters in South America and graduated with the Cervantes Award for the top overall student in Hispanic Studies.
Dr. Raabe then attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, where he completed a Bilingual Health track and graduated a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He then completed his ophthalmology residency training with an emphasis on Global Health at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia and subsequent fellowship training in Cornea and External Disease at Dean McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City.
Dr. Raabe now serves as a specialist in Cornea, Complex Anterior Segment, and Premium Cataract Surgery. He offers corneal transplantation, cataract surgery, LASIK, complex anterior segment reconstruction, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, among other procedures.
Dr. Raabe stays motivated due to his heart for medical missions, both locally and internationally. He enjoys teaching, and hopes to reflect God’s love for people by serving his community in East Texas.
