Preston H. Davis, OD, is a Certified Therapeutic Optometrist joining Gold Eye Clinic. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Southwestern University, Dr. Davis attended the University of Houston College of Optometry where he earned his Doctor of Optometry Degree.

During optometry school, Dr. Davis was an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists, where he served as the worship leader. He completed clinical rotations at several clinics, including Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Good Neighbor Community Clinic in Houston, San Jose Clinic in Houston, and the University of Houston’s Dry Eye Center. He also served as a contact lens teaching assistant, providing hands-on instruction to optometry students on prescribing and fitting spherical, toric, multifocal, and specialty contact lenses.

Before joining Gold Eye Clinic, Dr. Davis worked at a private practice providing full scope optometric care in the Houston area for 10 years.

He and his wife Valerie have three children, love to spend time outdoors, and staying active in church. As an outdoorsman, Dr. Davis enjoys helping patients find precision optical solutions to maximize their vision when it comes to viewing God’s creation in nature, whether that be looking through a scope, on the water, or on a hike.
