Glaucoma is a serious disease that, if not managed properly, can lead to permanent vision loss and blindness. People with glaucoma experience high pressure within the eye due to irregular fluid flow. In the early stages there are virtually no symptoms in people with glaucoma. That’s why a yearly eye exam is crucial to detecting it. While glaucoma cannot be cured, it can be treated. At Gold Eye Clinic we work diligently to manage glaucoma with drops, without requiring further treatment. However, in those patients who are not controlled with drops alone, we do offer laser treatments (ALT) and occasional surgical options (trabeculectomy) to help lower pressure. We also have minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) options that certain patients can use at the time of cataract surgery to help lower eye pressure.

Your vision is important to us and we work hard to help protect it!
